Coach Reynaldo Lopez started playing soccer in Bolivia
and as a developmental player for the University
Soccer Club at age 5. From the age of 12 to 17, he
played in the Lower Cadettes in the famous Bolivian
soccer club, Bolivar. He played for the U(13), U(14),
U(15), and U(16) teams. Reynaldo was the Team
Captain and Lead Scorer of the team.
Reynaldo began playing professional soccer at the age of
16. While in Bolivia, he played for the Magisterial Club
from the Professional Bolivian Soccer Federation, and
Bolivar team. He is a former member of the Bolivian U(19)
National Soccer Team and as traveled internationally at
many tournament levels, including Europe, U.S., and South America.
After Reynaldo moved to the Unites States, he played college soccer for the University of South Carolina and Long Island University in New York City. Reynaldo also played professionally for Hellenic League in New York and traveled through Europe as a member of an international team. In 1988 he played in the Super Group Division of the Dallas Cup for Oceanside Navajos of New York City with former USA National Team members Tony Meola and Jimmy Runny.
His love for the game as expanded to coaching. Reynaldo hold National and International coaching licenses. While in New York he served as the Discovery Days Camp Soccer Director in Brithong Beach for four years and also helped to develop soccer camps and training programs for City College in Manhattan City.
Reynaldo moved to Dallas in 1995, and created
Stars Soccer Academy which specializes in
training the International Brazillian and Bolivian
style of soccer. He has coached women’s soccer
at Eastfield College, does soccer skills and training
camps for Girl Scouts of America, and the City of
Rockwall after school programs. He has won 136
tournaments at the International and National
level as a coach. Reynaldo has been with the
North Texas Strikers since 1998. He coached the
First graduated generation of the club, 86 boys.
He is currently the head coach for the Boys
93, 96, 99, and 2000 Boys.
