Coach Rey Lopez earns National USSF-B License

Congratulations to Coach Rey on receiving his National USSF-B license or Advanced National Coaching Credentials!! The USSF Class "B" license is one of the highest levels a coach can attain and is recognized internationally by FIFA. If you remember Coach Rey traveled to Florida for 10 days of training/testing in the early part of November. Those days consisted of seven days of instruction and tw...o days of extensive oral, written, and practical examinations. Very few candidates are able to pass this course because of the mental and physical demands. The course emphasizes field instruction in the areas of technique, tactics, and fitness. The courses also include instruction in coaching methodology, team management, and sport psychology. He received the good news today. We are very lucky to have a Coach with this level of training in our club. He is now one of a very few in the North Texas area with these credentials. He was the only Texas coach in the course.

CONGRATULATIONS to Coach Rey and the 96 Boys AGAIN!!!!

U-16 CHAMPIONS of the 2011 Lions FC Memorial Day Tournament in San Antonio TX

 

This marks the 2nd time in as many weeks that the 96 Boys have came away with a tournament win!!! The boys fought through some tough teams and some tough dust storms to rise to the top by winning all 3 games scoring a total of 8 goals while only alowing 1. Way to go guys!!!!

 U-16 CHAMPIONS of the 2011 Chisholm Trail Classic in Cleburne TX.

The team did a fantastic job playing against several strong 95 teams from around the area. They faced the other undefeated team in their bracket, the 95 Kernow Storm FC, a D2 Classic team in the final winning 3-0. GREAT JOB GUYS !!!
