Professor Lopez has worked for the past 15 years in the United States as Head Soccer coach, Director of NT Strikers Soccer Club, and President of the CRS Stars Soccer Academy.He has received many merits and awards locally and nationally and was recognized as Coach of the Year of North Texas by the U.S. Soccer Association.He has won more than 200 tournaments locally and nationally and is one of the most recognized technical Coaches in the area.
His company, CRS Stars Soccer Academy, signed a long-term agreement with Club Bolivar to create international travel grants for players and support for scholarships from Universities and Colleges to help the pre-professional divisions of Club Bolivar and to enhance and support Bolivian Youth Soccer.This agreement also will consider invitations to bring the lower divisions of Bolivar to tournaments in Europe and USA.
An exchange opportunity took place in the first trip to Bolivia this July (2011) by a former player of Coach Rey ( Isaac Solares) to play in La Paz for Club Bolivar with a contract for one year with the semi-professional club.
His players attended training by Club Bolivar coaches and in their free time they visited with orphanage centers bringing aid and grants to these centers of the homeless in La Paz, Bolivia.They visited the US Embassy and played several friendly games with local teams.Several families In La Paz opened their homes to these players as part of the Home-Stay program.
Professor Lopez is a famous alumnus of the Dallas Cup, competing in the Super Group in 1988 as a player of the Navaho Oceanside Champion NY.
